About the Journal
1. ABOUT THE JOURNAL
The Interdisciplinary Educational Vanguard Journal is a continuous publication belonging to the IDSA publishing system. In this sense, it is responsible for disseminating scientific knowledge and promoting interdisciplinary education research, reflecting a commitment to integrating multiple fields of knowledge and fostering collaboration and mutual enrichment among diverse disciplines. It systematically receives submissions and seeks to publish the following article types, corresponding to the categories of original research and systematic reviews that significantly advance scientific knowledge.
2. FOCUS AND SCOPE
Contributions are welcome on a wide range of topics, from education at different levels (preschool, primary, secondary, high school, and higher education) to promoting synergy between disciplinary knowledge and different approaches. Interdisciplinary approaches are especially encouraged, as are studies that address complex problems from multiple perspectives across this broad thematic spectrum, exploring intersections and connections to foster a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach in published articles.
3. EDITORIAL PROCESS
Upon receipt of a manuscript, the Editorial Office conducts an initial review to verify compliance with the journal’s standards, thematic suitability within its focus and scope, and originality of the text using anti-plagiarism software. If the manuscript passes this stage, it is assigned to an associate editor in the corresponding subject area, who will manage the peer-review process. The associate editor supervises the entire process, communicates decisions to the authors, and ensures rigor and fairness in the evaluation. The final editorial decision (Accept, Accept with Minor/Major Revisions, or Reject) is based on reviewers’ arguments and the editor’s judgment. Accepted manuscripts are sent for language editing and layout formatting before publication.
4. ANTI-PLAGIARISM POLICY
The Interdisciplinary Educational Vanguard Journal maintains an unwavering commitment to academic integrity and originality of published content. All received manuscripts will undergo originality verification using the free software Plagiarism Checker X before peer review. Plagiarism is understood not only as the literal copying of text without proper attribution but also as inappropriate paraphrasing, self-plagiarism without proper citation of the author’s previous works, and the presentation of others’ results or ideas as one’s own. Manuscripts showing a similarity index higher than 15% (excluding properly referenced citations and bibliography) will be automatically rejected. In cases of similarity between 10% and 15%, authors must justify and correct the identified segments. Any case of plagiarism detected at any stage of the editorial process will result in immediate rejection of the manuscript and a two-year ban on future submissions.
5. PEER REVIEW PROCESS
The Interdisciplinary Educational Vanguard Journal uses a double-blind peer-review system in which both authors’ and reviewers’ identities remain anonymous throughout the process. The associate editor selects at least two external reviewers who are specialists in the manuscript’s topic. Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on criteria of originality, relevance, methodological rigor, clarity of presentation, and contribution to knowledge in the field. After evaluation, reviewers issue a detailed report with recommendations for the authors and the editor. The review process aims to ensure the quality, validity, and scientific integrity of published articles. Authors are expected to respond comprehensively to all comments and suggest the changes made in a separate response letter during the resubmission process.
